The science of doctor who

Picture
On July 5, 2013 I gave a talk at the St. Louis Science Center on The Science and Science Fiction of Time:  from Spacetime to the TARDIS.  I gave two talks in the Omnimax theater and then showed two episodes:  Blink and City of Death.  The turnout was incredible -- about 3000 people showed up, many dressed as their favorite characters though only 640 or so got to see my talk, due to the size of the theater.  My talk (with a few bits excised due to copyright issues) is to the right, and below I've embedded some photos of the event, and my bit on the local media.

Coverage:
  • The local Fox affiliate's morning segment featuring me and Bill Kelly from the museum. [Link]
  • The St. Louis Science Center's blog post on the event.  [Link]
